When Annapurna’s founder, lifetime vegetarian Yashoda Naidoo, opened the first location in 2002, she did so with a commitment in her heart:
To serve food as simply as possible.
Food from the Earth, as nature intended, and as prescribed in the Ayurvedic tradition.
With a menu combining creativity, diverse ingredients, and centuries-old tradition with modern plant-based eating, she has done just that. And, the healing cuisine at Annapurna’s has come to satisfy carnivores and raw food enthusiasts alike.
More than twenty years, three additional locations, and countless awards later, Annapurna’s World Vegetarian Cafe remains one of New Mexico’s most beloved restaurants. With the same values and passion for serving wholesome food that has been at the core since the beginning, Annapurna’s continues to inspire curiosity and delight in diners from all walks of life.
